Creative Director
Description
At Flipp Advertising, we believe great creative is more than good design. It’s the alignment of strategy, storytelling, and execution to drive meaningful business growth. We’re looking for a Creative Director to lead our creative department through its next stage of growth. This role is for someone who can elevate the quality of work across the agency while building systems, mentoring talent, and helping shape the future direction of the agency itself. This is not a role for someone solely focused on being the “best designer in the room.” Doesn’t hurt, but it’s not what it’s all about. It’s for a creative leader who knows how to:
- guide strong thinking
- develop team members
- bring clarity to complexity
- protect standards
- and move work forward with confidence.
You’ll work across brand development, campaigns, digital experiences, content, and integrated marketing initiatives for clients ranging from real estate and hospitality to industrial, retail, and purpose-led organizations. Responsibilities include:
Creative Leadership
- Lead and elevate the quality of creative output
- Ensure work is strategically grounded & aligned with client objectives
- Guide concept development, campaign thinking, and brand systems
- Present and articulate creative rationale clearly and confidently
- Protect brand integrity and creative consistency across deliverables
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and coach designers, copywriters, and creative collaborators
- Establish and maintain clear creative standards and workflows
- Foster a collaborative, positive, high-performing creative culture
- Help develop future creative leaders within the agency
Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Account, Strategy, Digital, and Media teams
- Improve briefing clarity and reduce revision cycles
- Support accurate project scoping and creative resource planning
- Balance creative ambition with operational efficiency and profitability
Agency Growth & Thought Leadership
- Participate in new business and pitch presentations
- Contribute to agency positioning and methodology development
- Help shape the evolution of the FA brand and portfolio
- Bring ideas, inspiration, and leadership that push the agency forward
Ideal Experience
- 7+ years experience in creative leadership roles within an agency or brand environment
- Strong portfolio spanning branding, campaigns, digital, and integrated marketing
- Experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Experience balancing creative excellence with operational realities
- Deep understanding of brand systems, storytelling, and modern marketing
