Flipp Advertising has an immediate opening for a Junior Designer to join our team at our Calgary office. This is an in-office role (Monday–Thursday), designed for someone who’s excited to learn, collaborate, and grow alongside a hands-on creative team. We’re looking for someone early in their career with a strong eye for design, a willingness to learn, and a passion for building their craft. If you’re excited to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to meaningful brand work, we’d love to hear from you. As a Junior Designer you:

• Bring ideas to life through strong execution:
  Translate creative direction into clean, thoughtful design across print and digital.
• Focus on the fundamentals:
  You care about layout, spacing, typography, and getting the details right.
• Are eager to learn and grow:
  You actively seek feedback, apply it quickly, and continuously improve your craft.
• Support the team with reliability:
  You take direction well, meet deadlines, and contribute to keeping projects moving.
• Stay organized and production-ready:
  Prepare files correctly for print and digital, following specs and templates with precision.
• Communicate clearly and ask questions:
  You’re not afraid to clarify direction to ensure the work is done right.

What we’re looking for

• 0–2 years of relevant experience (agency or in-house)
• Must be available to work in-office in Calgary (Monday-Thursday)  this is not a remote position
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates foundational design skills
• Understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Basic understanding of preparing files for production (print and digital)
• A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn
